Before I became an arborist, I never imagined trees would shape my life the way they have. But when I discovered arboriculture at age 25, everything changed. What started as a job quickly became a passion. Over the next 20 years, I worked in nearly every area of tree care—land clearing, technical removals, structural pruning, disease prevention, risk assessments, and long-term preservation. I climbed trees, studied them, cared for them, and learned firsthand how important they are to the environment and the people who cherish them.

But along the way, I saw something that didn’t sit right with me.

Too many tree companies prioritized profits over preservation. Homeowners were being misled, upsold, and fed misinformation—told their trees were doomed when they weren’t, sold ineffective treatments, or left with shoddy pruning jobs that did more harm than good. I met property owners who genuinely wanted to protect their trees but had no way of knowing who to trust or where to turn for honest, expert advice.

That’s when I knew something had to change.

I made the decision to step away from the removal-heavy side of tree work and focus on what I truly care about—helping people understand their trees and providing expert care that actually makes a difference.
